GOK WAN ft HOUSE GOSPEL CHOIR - DEEPER LOVE

Gok Wan MBE, DJ, fashion expert, TV and Radio presenter, and one of the UKs most beloved personalities, pays tribute to his best friend, the late Allison Gordon-Parry, by teaming up with the London-based collective, House Gospel Choir, to release a 2024 Christmas charity single in her memory.

Deeper Love (A Tribute To Allison), will be released by IN Records on 13 December 2024 with proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of Allison who lived with Stage 4 cancer for several years but sadly passed away in May 2024.

Deeper Love is regarded as a seminal record by one of the crowning jewels of soul and jazz, the unforgettable Aretha Franklin. In this modern reimagining of the timeless classic, Gok Wan and the House Gospel Choir channel the original recording’s storied tale of soul, grit, thanksgiving and pride, to pay tribute to a beloved departed friend who battled terminal illness and adversity, to radiate undiluted passion, love and positivity right until the final days of her fabulous life.

When asked about the collaboration, Gok said: "This track holds a huge place in our hearts, and serves as a well-deserved tribute to Allison, and all those who loved her. This single is dedicated not just in memory of Ali, but for every person who has been affected by cancer.I hope it will help others on their own journey, and raise lots of money for Macmillan Cancer Support."
