Kaiyo – CRASH [Discovery Project Records]

Kaiyo drops his follow-up single on Insomniac's Discovery Project Records with "CRASH," a deep dubstep offering showcasing his ability to bridge filthy low-end with airy melodics.

Emerging from the dance scene in Oregon, Kaiyo is a budding producer bringing an atmospheric edge to bass music, creating immersive soundscapes that tickle the brain and body in equal proportions. He's returning to Insomniac's Discovery Project label to issue his sophomore single.

"CRASH" is a left-field bass track written about those moments when life feels like it pushes the weight of the world on your shoulders. Easing in with a lo-fi neo-soul intro fueled by high-pitched vocals, Rhodes piano keys and wailing guitar, the track soon switches tones via its guttural deep dubstep sequences, which mindfully makes great use of both space and melody. Kaiyo was headhunted by What So Not to open on his 'motions' tour, and has played alongside Ghengar, A Hundred Drums, in addition to providing live support for Know Good on their US Tour.
