Allen Watts, AWaken – Energize [Dreamstate Records]

Allen Watts offers up the latest single from his AWaken project via "Energize," an adrenaline-fueled single arriving by way of Dreamstate Records.

A product of the Dutch trance scene, Allen Watts is a Roden-based producer that has spent more than a decade rewiring the trance scene with his cutting-edge production, using his alter-ego AWaken to give life to the heavier and harder hitting variants of his uplifting sound. He's returning to Dreamstate Records to issue his sophomore single under the pseudonym (and his third appearance overall).

"Energize" is a powerful trance cut that slams straight into the solar plexus. The peak-time offering pummels through the space relentlessly with thunderous kicks, frenetic synth rolls, mechanized stabs, and surly, glitching vocal loops—with a moment of reprieve offered by its masterfully executed uplifting breakdown. The release follows his previous AWaken outing on the label "Subjekt" last year (after his label debut "Pressure" under his main alias), earning radio and tastemaker support from Andrew Rayel, Nifra, Paul Steiner, Henry Moe, Dada Life.
