Transmitting from Manchester, Phonetic proudly present the new single from Overmars ft. Moodymanc. Overmars’ first release on Phonetic reached No.7 and charted on Beatport’s Best Tech House under alias special_guest. Setting the pace loud and clear for this rhythmic collaboration with Moodymanc.

First known for orchestrating the notoriously wild Departure Ibiza parties back in 2010, and playing at musical meccas such as The Warehouse Project, Space Ibiza, Kehakuma, Mint Club and Viva Warriors, Overmars name and sound has bloomed over many seasons.

Powerfully punching the productions with drums, conga and clav is DJ, producer and Jazz musician Moodymanc. The multi-talented and multi-layered artist has toured the globe with the legendary 2020 Soundsystem. Entertaining the masses at the likes of Creamfields and soundtracking the setting sun at the close of Camp Bisco in the US.

‘Tribut’ opens this EP and oozes the influence of the underground Ibiza that shaped much of Overmars’ career. A pulsating, frenetic groove that forces you to close your eyes and absorb it through every limb. Followed by the hypnotic and sensual ‘Only Sober’, a throbbing bass and sultry vocal that leads you by the hand to lose yourself in that familiar but unknown place.

Phonetic kicked off with their very first release in 2002, the label has found, nurtured and worked with some of House Music’s biggest artists. The label has a reputation and strives to find and expose new amazing talent, as well as working with some of the best established producers around. The label is also responsible for many a No.1 hit Record, from Ibiza Track Of the Summer (x4), to Radio 1, Mixmag & DJ Mag. And has co-released with key Major Labels & Independents across the world.
