JOSHEEBA - Ohm's Law

Shropshire-based producer, drummer and DJ, JOSHEEBA presents 'Ohm's Law', the first single from his upcoming collection of deep house creations, where crafted electronic production meets the unmistakable energy of live drums.

"Ohm’s Law is a deep house track inspired by The Vaults, a meeting place and venue for local artists, musicians, and creatives who gathered before heading into the night—often to forests, barns, warehouses, and free parties" says Josh. "The name comes from the physics principle of Ohm’s Law, connecting voltage, current, and resistance. For the track, it became a metaphor for energy: the current flowing between people, music, and places, building until it finds somewhere to go. Ohm’s Law captures that feeling of anticipation, connection, and the unknown journey of the night ahead."
 
With a career spanning decades, JOSHEEBA has established himself as a versatile musician, producer and performer, equally on stage behind the drums, in the DJ booth and in the studio. Having first picked up the drums at the age of nine, he has gone on to perform extensively throughout the UK and Europe alongside acclaimed artists including Jeb Loy Nichols, Beth Prior Collective and Albert Jones.
 
His live credentials include supporting The Wailers on a sold-out UK tour with Beth Prior Collective, performing at major venues including Manchester, Birmingham and Nottingham's O2 arenas. He has also toured extensively across France and also Germany with Jeb Loy Nichols and has become a familiar presence on some of the UK's most respected festival stages, including Boomtown, Green Man, Latitude and Nozstock.
 
As a DJ and promoter, JOSHEEBA has earned a reputation for championing quality underground house music, curating events that have featured internationally respected artists such as Shur-I-Kan, while helping cultivate a thriving local electronic music scene.
 
Production has always been central to his artistic vision. His debut album, Hapax Legomenon (2017), introduced a sound rooted in deep, funky and tech house, shaped by years immersed in club culture and festival life. The follow-up EP, Using Machines (2018), showcased a more refined and atmospheric direction, laying the foundations for the signature sound he continues to develop today.

Blending the rhythmic instinct of an accomplished live drummer with meticulous electronic production, JOSHEEBA occupies a distinctive space within contemporary deep house. Drawing inspiration from an expansive record collection spanning jazz, soul, disco, funk, metal, hip-hop, electronica and house, his music fuses dancefloor functionality with rich musicality, warmth and groove. The result is an immersive, timeless sound—equally at home in intimate late-night clubs, on festival stages and in the collections of discerning listeners.
