Infusion - Legacy : 25th Anniversary (Part 1) feat. Kevin Di Serna & Deviant, and Junkie XL Remixes - Selador

Now THIS is special – a treat of epic proportions that all involved, despite the ‘everyone these days is a sleuth’ nature of the leak infested world we now live in, has managed to keep under wraps until now… Aquaman knows what to do!

Yes, it is THE Infusion, one of the greatest acts our scene has ever produced… yes, it is THE ‘Legacy’, their stone cold classic 2001 cut… and yes, as so many stellar artists wanted to get their remix mits on it, rather than try to stem the flow of demand for the stems, we’re doubling up with two releases, and some extra special collabs.

So what do we have on Part One?

In the Americas corner… Argentina’s Kevin Di Serna & the USA’s Deviant team up for a version excursion that goes straight for the jugular. Burbling bass paves the way for the oh-so-familiar vocal to make its grand entrance, before euphoric synth riffs enter the fray. The breakdown once again showcases the vox to stunning effect – and just when you think the mix has peaked, out of leftfield comes an uplifting piano motif, which takes us to the heads down crescendo. Suitably anthemic. Oh, and there’s a super tasty Dub too. Take your pick.

And in the European corner… we are beyond chuffed to announce that Dutch legend Junkie XL (Tom to his mum) has dug deep into his bulging vaults to unearth his classic interpretation from 2003 (coincidentally an early release on boss man Dave’s then label, Audio Therapy), freshly remastered for its long overdue induction into the digital world. This 10 minute breaks-driven throbber has lost none of its magic. A second coming if you will.
