Akbal Music is a well respected label that was created in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico and is now based in Berlin. It is run by DJ/Producer Robbie Akbal. Inspiration has come from the Mayans with the word 'Akbal' meaning 'power of the blue night' in the Mayan calendar. The releases come from talented artists from the world over as well as a strong Mexican flavour.
