Sam Hopgood returns to the label with an impressive double header.

Breaking onto the scene back in 2018, the Melbourne-native’s upward trajectory has been the stuff of dreams. Following his debut release, which featured in the sets of everyone from Darin Epsilon to Soul Button, he’s signed music to Balance, Selador and The Soundgarden, showcasing his wide range appeal.

Opening with ‘Coherence’, Snappy percussion and hypnotic arps straddle the hinterland that’s formed between organic house and the deeper end of progressive house. Vocals enhance the experience making the track perfect for the warm up and end of night sweatathon. Next up the ‘Hypno Mix’ deepens the trip. Dubby and dance floor focused, it strips the groove back for a more intense sonic journey. Finally, ‘Runaway’ rounds out the EP with a deep, dubby vibe. Wide-screen and cinematic by design, this is the sound of modern progressive house at its very best.
