Blanka Mazimela - Super Saiyan EP

Blanka Mazimela returns with a four-track EP that reflects the essence of his artistic vision: music rooted in South African heritage while naturally extending into contemporary Afro House. Opening the EP, “uMajola” with Khonaye unfolds through warm percussion, expressive vocals and flowing melodic textures. The production balances groove and atmosphere, allowing its organic elements to breathe while maintaining a strong dancefloor identity. “Super Sayan”, featuring Mbal’yesizwe, introduces a more driving energy. Rich rhythmic layers and hypnotic vocal phrases build steadily throughout the track, creating a powerful blend of traditional influences and modern Afro House. The accompanying Dub Mix strips the arrangement back, shifting the focus toward percussion, groove and subtle melodic movement, making it equally suited for deeper club moments.
“Bloem”, featuring Mbùsso, introduces a more introspective moment within the EP. Delicate melodic textures, warm harmonies and fluid percussion create an immersive atmosphere, allowing emotion and groove to coexist naturally. Its understated elegance provides a moment of reflection before the release reaches its final chapter.
Closing the EP, “AfroGQ” with Quandro leaves a lasting impression through its confident blend of rolling percussion, hypnotic grooves and finely crafted melodic details. Balancing rhythmic intensity with Blanka Mazimela’s signature organic touch, the track captures the spirit of contemporary Afro House while staying deeply connected to its South African roots, bringing the release to a powerful and uplifting conclusion.
The EP is another confident statement from an artist who continues to celebrate South African musical identity while speaking a language understood on dancefloors around the world.
