Little D - U Miss Me [Scorpios Music]

'U Miss Me', the new release from Little D, is a track with teeth. A deep house cut set in motion by tuned percussion and pushed forwards by a fat, rolling bassline; it moves with a steady, driving pull. A hypnotic arpeggio loops over the top, turning the groove over and over until it starts to feel inevitable.

Then comes the voice. A commanding, gravel-register vocal asks for "one more moment", but the tune feels less like a choice than a current. Seductive and insistent, the groove aches and holds, refusing to let go, until a retro-tinged rise finally arrives.

Dutch DJ and producer Dennis Louvra's remix takes it somewhere more melodic and bright, yet the tension survives the change: both versions are built on the pull between wanting someone to stay and knowing exactly how best to convince them. It's a tune that's hard to say no to.
