Acyan fires off his latest forward-thinking single, "Piston," a genre-defying bass single arriving by way of BREAK ROOM Records.

Originally considered one of the best-kept secrets of the Fort Collins dance music scene, Acyan is a Colorado native making a name for himself with cutting-edge trap beats in the game, known for a dark and haunting style that bleeds into wave, dubstep, techno, trance, and ghostly bass soundscapes. He's returning to Insomniac's BREAK ROOM Records with his first solo single.

"Piston" is an instrumental trap single highlighting his affinity for industrial-infused sounds. It builds from a foreboding cinematic intro that turns discordant synth howls and rolling vocal chants into a drop engineered for peak festival efficiency. Its power stems from sharp clanking textures, moody static breakdowns, crisp 808 drums, and distortion-led churning synth sequences that will keep the crowd stuck inside its explosive rotational force. Acyan initially graced the label with his "HEARTBREAKER" collab with Hex Cougar, featured on the latter's 5-track 'Visions' EP, and returned with his track "BURNER" featured on the 'OFF THE CLOCK: PHASE 1' compilation EP.
