Steve Dekay – The Roots [Dreamstate Records]

Steve Dekay releases his new single "The Roots," a rave-fueled trance track serving as his first standalone single for Dreamstate Records.

Colombian native Steve Dekay is a producer from Medellín who has been flourishing in the trance scene since the early 2010s. He is driven by a refreshing spirit of innovation that allows him to switch seamlessly between endorphin-laced uplifting and high-octane techno lanes, covering the spectrum with a modern finesse. He's returning to Dreamstate Records to release his first standalone single.

"The Roots" is a high-octane trance track that branches out into hard bounce territory. Buoyant, pumping basslines are backed by chugging percussive movements, while rousing vocal hooks urge listeners to dig a little deeper. Classic euphoric synths ripple atop fluttering vocoder leads, acid-laden flourishes, and modulated arpeggios that plant themselves in pure 90s rave ecstasy. Steve previously touched down on the label with his single "City of Fury" in March, as part of the 'Convergence Vol. 6' compilation EP.
