James Teej & Mr. Tron - Awakening (incl. Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile remix) - SLEEPING LANGUAGE

SLEEPING LANGUAGE, the visionary record label founded by Canadian artist and Grammy-nominated producer James Teej, proudly presents “Awakening”, a collaborative EP with Miami producer Mr. Tron.

Set for release on October 31, 2025, this three-track EP, featuring the lead single “Awakening” and B-side “Olympus Mon” delivers a solid blend of highly textured, progressive techno-infused electronica. Both original tracks weave haunting melodies and lush soundscapes, embodying the label’s mission to curate artistically profound and timeless electronic music.

Mr. Tron, born Nicolas Troncoso in Mar del Plata, Argentina, moved to Miami at age 10 and has since become a cornerstone of South Florida’s minimal and techno scenes. Known for dynamic opening sets at iconic venues like Club Space’s Techno Loft, Electric Pickle, and Treehouse, he’s a resident DJ for LinkMiamiRebels and UnMute. As the founder of Alchemista Records, Mr. Tron has released works showcasing his signature deep techno and minimal sound. His label, focused on lean rhythm-driven music, aligns with his artistic vision of raw, immersive deep techno and electronica, and has fast become internationally respected showcasing some of techno’s finest talents.

The EP is elevated by a stunning remix of “Awakening” by legendary South American artist Hernan Cattaneo and Soundexile. Cattaneo, Argentinian musical royalty, is a global progressive house icon, founder of his highly respected label Sudbeat, and known for his 30-year career, 11 albums, and residencies at iconic venues like Cream in Ibiza and Pacha in Buenos Aires. Soundexile, fellow Argentinians, help bring a fresh yet sophisticated edge to the collaboration and have released music on labels like Sudbeat, All Day I Dream, and Lost & Found, having toured internationally, playing alongside numerous electronic music legends.

The remix stems from a long time mutual musical friendship between Cattaneo and Teej spanning nearly two decades, and represents a wonderful addition to the SLEEPING LANGUAGE catalogue. Their remix transforms “Awakening” into a club-ready anthem, pulsating with hypnotic rhythms and melodic depth, ideal equally for late nights and sunrise sets.
