Lonely Deckchair offers the first taste of his forthcoming self-titled album with a special five-track sampler, featuring Carr’s Dub, Warren’s Apology, Sunrun, Caminante Del Agua and Rayman’s Kingdom.

This is not the full release, but a carefully chosen window into the world of the album. Across these five tracks, Lonely Deckchair sketches out a deeply personal sound rooted in memory, family holidays, childhood wonder and sunlit Mediterranean landscapes. Guitars drift and rewind, soft electronics shimmer, percussion rolls gently through the haze, and fragments of nostalgia surface like old photographs found at the back of a drawer.

Rayman’s Kingdom opens the door with childlike wonder, birdsong, chimes and a misty-eyed flute melody. Warren’s Apology brings warm guitar lines, trippy tape treatments and a tender sense of looking back. Carr’s Dub moves through Andalusian oud, orchestral swells and quietly remembered rave piano, while Sunrun lifts the pace with chunky, chugging rhythm and urgent guitars. Caminante Del Agua, translating as “water walker”, closes this sampler with clipped guitar loops, coconut shells, mellow marimba and a deeper connection to nature.

The full Lonely Deckchair album comes complete with extensive sleeve notes by Dr Rob of Ban Ban Ton Ton, whose words help frame the album’s emotional pull, its sense of place and its unashamedly sentimental heart.
