DvirNuns - Tripping The Funk (feat. Cristian Viviano) - Maccabi House

Maccabi House Presents: DvirNuns – “Tripping The Funk” (feat. Cristian Viviano)

Longtime Maccabi House family member DvirNuns returns to the label alongside Cristian Viviano with “Tripping The Funk,” a swaggering collision of funk-infused rhythms and late-night attitude.

The record began with a casual exchange of samples between the two artists, when one particular vocal sparked the inspiration behind the track. Rather than forcing the idea in a predetermined direction, the production gradually took shape around it. The process became one of experimentation: playing with the groove, introducing new elements, and following whatever felt right until the track began developing a world of its own.

At the heart of “Tripping The Funk” is a groove full of personality. A syncopated bassline moves in conversation with the drums and percussion, giving the record its unmistakable swagger, while the vocal becomes another part of the rhythm itself. Rather than sitting above the production as a traditional topline, it weaves through the track, adding an extra layer of attitude.

That balance was central to the vision behind the record: funky and trippy, but ultimately timeless. Rather than chasing a particular trend or moment, “Tripping The Funk” draws from the spirit of funk, its syncopation, repetition, sensuality, and swagger, all through a modern Indie Dance lens.

Playful, hypnotic, and full of character, “Tripping The Funk” marks another chapter for DvirNuns on Maccabi House. Together with Cristian Viviano, he delivers a groove that stays locked in from start to finish.
