Bishu reaches a crazy pace with his long awaited return to NIGHTMODE, "WHAT YOU RUNNING FROM," a powerful and forward-thinking house track that chases down uncomfortable feelings head-on.

A household name from Halifix, Bishu is a Canadian producer whose experimental craft has placed him in his own category. His kaleidoscopic beats and brain-scratching sound design have driven him into trap, hyperpop, hip-hop, alt-dance, future bass, and everything inbetween. He's returning to NIGHTMODE for his third appearance on the label, marking his second single since 2020.

"WHAT ARE YOU RUNNING FROM" is a genre-fusing house single tied to his own vocal work, a topline teetering between alternative hip-hop and emo pop. Written about a romantic partner prone to just cut and run, with the emotional turmoil underlined by modulating synths leads, watery colour bass textures, shuffling rhythms, and grainy, granular detuned melodies that amplify the unnerving emotions. The track was written during one of Bishu's BISHBATTLE streams on Twitch (he is ranked in the top 99.9th percentile of creators by revenue), and plans to host a release party and official music video on his channel.
