Rooted in a proper old-school house groove, “Funky Pills” is driven by a simple but punchy bassline, playful percussion and the raw, rolling feel of ’90s house. A funky guitar hook runs through the record, bringing a touch of disco into the mix while adding a slightly psychedelic edge that helps tie its different sides together.
