dreamAwaken - Smoog Chaz - Re:Sound Music

Celebrating over two decades of experience in the music industry. Brazilian born / Swedish based Marcelo Mortimer aka dreamAwaken makes his debut on Re:Sound Music with two superbly crafted tracks.

With previous productions landing on highly revered labels, including; Ellum, Traum, Seven Villas, and multiple club gigs across Europe and Brazil. In his own words dreamAwaken states ‘I play with different methods of production while producing music that aims to bend and alter the perception of reality’.

‘Smoog Chaz’ opens the Ep and we see dreamAwaken team up with sax player Manuel Trabucco. They marry lush sax lines with layered percussion and masterful production flair. This is a deep house lover's dream!

With ‘Subcutaneous’ dreamAwaken has crafted a deeply emotional and creative journey. The use of vocals that blend with the ever evolving pads and leads to form a build and crescendo of sonic delights, is masterful.

Across both tracks we hear an artist that is crafting a musical soundscape for a sophisticated and educated dancefloor.
