Phonetic have been behind many a underground hit record over the years, holding the accolade of 3 consecutive Ibiza No.1 Records/Track of the summer. With a plethora of big records every summer on the white island.

Next up is something very special indeed, Frank de Wulf is a pioneering producer, under his B-Sides guise, he was responsible for some of House Music & Techno’s most influential records.

The Tape is one of those, a track that has influenced so many DJ’s and stirs emotions across the worlds dancefloors. There’s a great story as to how this release came about.

The Pig Snatchers & M-Staff sent the remix to our head honcho Rob Roar to drop at the sell out Clockwork Orange event at KOKO LDN. The track literally took the roof off on it’s first play: Crowd reaction: https://shorturl.at/fqAJY

Frank liked the mix, and had been contemplating what he could do with it.
Rob caught up with Frank, knowing each other from Rob’s Head of A&R days at Global Cuts/R&S Records Belgium. With some lovely words from Frank saying how he had big respect for Phonetic, and the great stuff they have released over the years.

With Frank’s blessing, this remix is now due for release early summer.
