Ranj Kaler - It’s All Connected (Incl. Circulation Remix) - Twelvepoint

For the third release of Forensic Records sister label, it’s its our pleasure to bring the super talented Ranj Kaler into the fold.

Not one to conform to a particular genre, Ranj’s productions fuse melodic house, breaks, techno and electro, resulting in a unique sound that has gained support from an large lineup of top DJs including John Digweed, Nick Warren, Hernán Cattaneo and Alex Neri. Previous releases include labels such as Stripped Recordings, Configurations Of Self, Dissident, Capital Heaven and Foxtrot Alpha.

The original track is a Breaks track with a fat sawtooth bass scything across the stereo field underneath seamlessly blended pads and old skool hip-hop cowbells.  Vocal harmonies are gated and smeared across the breakdown sections and Ranj's creativity runs wild on the drops including one which descends into a crescendo of 808 kicks befor

The story of Circulation is well-documented and for good reason. His focus on streamlined dynamics consistently targets the heart of the dancefloor. As a duo in the late nineties early 2000s Circulation and their legendary colour series releases found their way into the record boxes of the worlds biggest and well respected tastemakers from Sasha, John Digweed, Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox, Hernan Cattaneo. Upon re-emerging as just a solo act Circulation (Paul Davis) has continued where he left off and again is making his mark with releases on Bedrock, Balance, Selador, Stripped Recordings, Mango Alley, Keep Thinking garnering support from the scenes biggest tastemakers.

On his fantastic remix here he brings together the key elements of the original and seamlessly merges them with his own unique four four tech genius. Deep, dark and simultaneously uplifting. A true masterpiece which truly justifies why his productions are so highly regarded. groove slams back in.
