Gavin Bradley gives his Deep House retouch treatment to one of Madonna’s most massive classics, ‘Express Yourself’. Shep Pettibone brought 909 house to pop radio and MTV with his inspired mix, and this package both celebrates and deconstructs his work.

Direction 1: the ‘Deeper Mix’ pulls elements of the original track into a fresh new soulful universe. Ballooning synth parts rub up against an in-your-face vocal arrangement—good for a nonchalant drop in the early evening or the early morning.

Direction 2: the ‘Pettibone Update’ is a straightforward, respectful modernization of Shep’s original 12” to pack the floor at Pride.

Both versions arrive here with Mix Show Edits, and VIP Explicit mixes that have just a little extra salt to them.

Toronto multi-genre producer Gavin Bradley began his career with a highly bootlegged deep house remix he made for Tori Amos under the name ‘Gavo’. This was followed by a Billboard Hot Plate for his work with Nelly Furtado and a series of collabs with DJs Dwayne Minard, Deko-ze, Meme and Kenneth Thomas that landed on labels like Perfecto, Refunkt, Hi-Bias and Hed Kandi. He continues to lob tracks at the dance floor under different aliases.
