James Mac, Watermät - Rhyme Design

A few years ago I decided to renovate my house..... Terrible decision.

If you've never renovated before, basically you give someone all your money and then spend six months hearing phrases like “load-bearing wall” while wondering where your kitchen went.

Anyway..... I hired an interior designer… On the first day he walked through my house, he said: “The chair goes there..... Beside the stairs.”

Fine..... “The light looks right..... Beside the white.”

Okay.... “The bed near the red.”

What? “The mat beside the cat.”

I stopped him.

“What are you, Dr Seuss? Are u designing my house based entirely on whether things rhyme?”

He looked offended…. “Of course.”

Apparently I'd accidentally hired the world's first practitioner of RHYME DESIGN. He showed me his plans: There were no measurements, floorplans, electrical diagrams etc.

Just: DOOR / FLOOR, CHAIR / STAIR, MAT / CAT, SINK / PINK.

I fired him immediately and the house looked terrible. But… Credit where credit is due.... He may have accidentally predicted the future….. Because JAMES MAC and WATERMÄT have arrived with something that makes far more sense than putting a cat next to a mat. Following his 2023 hit single 'The Boy Is Mine', James Mac has been touring the world keeping the foot on the gas & the French legend WATERMÄT recently showed his versatility as a producer/artist, dropping a single with Robin Schulz!!!

RHYME DESIGN.... Two words. One design. No council approval required.

And unlike my renovation..... This one actually got finished.
