Moving Still & Mera Bhai - Asuya Meraya

Irish-Saudi producer Moving Still and London-based Indian artist Mera Bhai unite on new single 'Asuya Meraya', a collaboration born from an instant creative connection and a shared understanding of what it means to exist between cultures.

Although the pair have never met in person, they quickly found common ground after first connecting in late 2024. What began as casual conversations soon evolved into a creative partnership, with both artists recognising unexpected parallels in each other's experiences and perspectives.

For Moving Still, whose heritage spans Saudi Arabia and Ireland, and Mera Bhai, whose upbringing took him across the SWANA region, Italy, Albania and Nigeria, movement and cultural exchange have long shaped their identities and artistic outlooks. Despite coming from different backgrounds, they discovered a mutual desire to celebrate the places, people and traditions that have influenced them.

The result is 'Asuya Meraya', a dancefloor record that channels the energy of contemporary club music while subtly weaving together influences from across continents. Built around a flipped Arabic sample, the track feels both rooted and forward-thinking, capturing the experience of carrying multiple identities while finding connection through music.

At its heart, 'Asuya Meraya' is a celebration of human connection. It reflects two artists using the language of the club to explore belonging, movement and shared experience, offering a reminder that some of the most meaningful collaborations can emerge unexpectedly, even between people who have never occupied the same physical space.
