Deep House producer Gavin Bradley is back with a reworking of Janet Jackson’s breakout single. This is a chunkier, funkier offering clocking in at 121 bpm for early evening/side-room vibes…but you’ve got a pitch control for those sweatier after hours situations.
The ‘Deeper Mix’ chugs along inconspicuously after the mix-in until some of those synths filter up and recognition hits. After some tasteful tension builds, the bridge in this track is a sunburst. The Dub features the full extended piano solo Terry Lewis & Jimmy Jam recorded but was not used in its entirety on the LP mix, and the Radio Edit gets right to the point after that classic ‘girlfriend’ intro.
