TrebleTina – Venom [Discovery Project Records]

Orlando-based producer TrebleTina oscillates on the purest of frequencies. She has built a reputation not only as a versatile bass artist but also as one who uses her platform to advocate for diversity on the dancefloor. She is returning to Insomniac's Discovery Project label to release her sophomore single.

"Venom" is a deep dubstep track that's not afraid to show its fangs. Deep hand percussion and tambourine hits create a slow-burning backdrop for an entrancing vocal—a lethal injection of self confidence that trickles down with a mystic flair. Its true power is revealed once snaking flutes and cascading synths draw first blood, and swampy sub-bass growls croak over a wonky, cavernous flow, opening up the capillaries for a slamming hard techno section. The release follows her label debut, "Levitate," the winning submission for the Discovery Project DJ/producer competition hosted at Project Glow, selected by guest judge Liquid Stranger.
