Divine Earth - More Light (feat. Princess Nokia)

Time Out’s 2024 Artist To Watch and The Face Mag’s alternative-jazz superstar, our very own muva of Earth (pronounced Mother of Earth), has officially announced the name change to Divine Earth and a new sound. The London-Born, British-Nigerian singer, songwriter says that this new pseudonym better represents her androgynous style and sense of nature.

Returning with a soft girl anthem, “More Light” Divine Earth enlists New York-based Afro-indigenous alternative rapper icon Princess Nokia.

On the creation of the track, Divine Earth tells us;

“I wrote this song during the winter of 2023 as a manifestation of more love and more light for myself, as I believe it felt really cold & dark at the time. Lyrically, this song celebrates the beauty of the fact that our minds are never one thing and reflects softly that the way I see myself is constantly changing. I sent this song to Princess Nokia, and they connected with it too. I feel Princess Nokia’s verse expands the initial meaning. Their verse is like: I am the light, I bring the vibes.., which adds more joy to the song.”
