To open the release, Ivan & Matiso drop the wonderful 'Gold Soul'. The first remix of 'Gold Soul' comes courtesy of Absorb Projects. The Scandinavian artist reshapes the original elements into something deeper and more melodic spacious sounding. The wonk factor on the low end is quite high and monumentally groovy as well, nicely playing off the rolling rhythmic qualities as dulcet hooks and gentle harmonics drift in and out of the framework. The main break shifts the narrative into more emotive territory but the dance floor sensibility remains, with muted beats and percussive clusters building towards a tasteful drop. The second rework of 'Gold Soul' comes courtesy of Berlin legend Kaiser Souzai who delivers a classy indie dance track with infectious chords, intense drums and smooth breakdown to get you moving. It's all about the groove, cool house vibes and the driving beats that are working their magic around Irene's wonderfully arranged keys that create an irresistible rhythm while clever chords take the mind on a trip.
