Archeo Recordings 10 Year Anniversary' Volume 2 EP

This is not a NuNorthern Soul release — but we’re proud to support our friends at Archeo Recordings as they continue their 10-year anniversary celebrations. The Florentine label has built a reputation for unearthing forgotten gems and sharing them with a new generation of DJs, collectors and music lovers, and this second volume in their limited-edition EP series is another perfect example.

For this chapter, Archeo have invited some of their favourite contemporaries to reimagine past treasures:

We’re especially pleased that label boss Phat Phil Cooper teamed up with his Ibiza friend Be.Lanuit to rework Yawn Yawn Yawn, a Japanese Balearic grail. Their version draws on dub, breakbeat and electro-acoustic textures, shaping something hypnotic, timeless, and totally their own.
