Mazare - Dreams Only Last For A Night [Lost In Dreams Records]

Italian producer Mazare is bringing his unique sound to Lost In Dreams with the release of his new EP ‘Dreams Only Last For a Night.’ The four-track offering sees the talented artist fusing pop punk and drum & bass for an extraordinary listening experience.

“Another Day” serves as the release's focal point and sees Mazare collaborating with Cape Town’s band Opposite the Other for another genre-bending adventure. Sharp violin melodies, spiritual chants, and a twangy, optimistic topline create an indie folk aesthetic that’s balanced with drum & bass and alt-rock sounds produce some truly special work.

Rounding out the project is the Sofuu-assisted “Wayfarer,” a ballad for star-crossed lovers sharing a connection that spans any distance. Her lyrics drift between vivid love-filled imagery and a sense of longing. There’s a pop-leaning catchiness while the production once again moves into the realms of drum and bass to deliver maximum impact.
