Never judge a record by its spelling. It's like judging a dish by the plate it's presented on.... Or a library by the fish and chip shop opposite it. In all cases, they are unrelated considerations of the skill/place in question.

Take MALANDRA JR for example. I'm not sure what he was trying to spell with THIAW. But it doesn't matter. This tune is so deep, you need an excavator to find it, so swaggy you need a translator to understand it, so confident you could accuse it of arrogance. But can a song be arrogant? I'll leave that for another day.

On the flip, RHUM AGRICOLE (again...no idea what he was trying to spell) is so cool that your grandma could put it on and become a DJ icon, so unique that shazam can't even pick it up when it’s out, so grunty that afro house got scared of it......

For the late nights, the after parties, the sunrise sessions.... MALANDRA JR’s RHUM AGRICOLE EP can absolutely destroy these kinda moments.
