George Solar - Moonbeams In Dub Part One
It’s one thing to release a body of work — and something else entirely to hand it over and see where others take it.
That sense of unpredictability sits right at the heart of Moonbeams In Dub. As George Solar puts it, “inviting other producers to reinterpret your work and then surprise you with it… that feels like a bit of magic.” That’s exactly what this first set delivers.
There’s no strict framework here — just a shared understanding. Dub as a mindset rather than a genre. Space, restraint, and the freedom to reshape.
Tribilin Sound flips Countermoon into something deeper and more off-centre than expected — ignoring the original brief and landing somewhere far more interesting. Marshall Watson takes O Luar and rebuilds it from the stems, keeping the spirit intact while pushing it forward. And Ken Fan — already embedded in the DNA of the original EP — returns to Lunaticotina with a version that feels like a natural continuation rather than a remix.
Three versions, three different angles. All connected.
Or, in George’s words — “home is where the bass is.”
