Phonetic & it’s team have been lucky enough to re-work and release some of the House Music’s all time Anthems alongside the original recording Artists. Adamski’s ‘Killer’, Joe Smooth’s ‘Promised Land’ (Max Linen Mixes), Sterling Void’s ‘It’s Alright’ & ‘Runaway Girl’ were all brought upto date with new remixes (as well as the Originals), giving the younger audiences a heads up on these seminal tunes.

Paul Reid has been a DJ for 30 years and can be found playing parties across the UK & Ibiza. When the Phonetic Crew were sent this new Cover Version/re-working of the Ibiza Anthem, the idea of which was originally written by classical composer Wim Mertens, the team listened with real trepidation, this after all is not something to be done…unless it really brings the Tune upto date for today’s Dancefloors, whilst having complete and ultimate respect for the original. The fact we are writing this press release, is a big hats off to Paul for delivering this great cover, something that is not easy to do. Given to small handful of the who’s who Tastemaker & Ibiza DJ’s, the reaction has been immense, hailed everytime as one of the biggest reactions of the day/night. A real labour of love for the original and once again, introducing something very special to todays younger crowds, not too mention those seasoned clubbers and DJ’s, who have provided amazing reactions when this production is dropped.

Phonetic kicked off with their very first release in 2002, the label has found, nurtured and worked with some of House Music’s biggest artists. The label has a great reputation when it comes to finding and shouting about new talent, as well as working with some of the best established producers around.
