WonkyWilla & SARGE – Space Invaderz [Bassrush Records]

WonkyWilla and SARGE take flight with their new wonk-riddled collab "Space Invaderz," a alien-like dubstep single arriving by way of Bassrush Records.

Based out of Florida, WonkyWilla is a bass music artist celebrated for creating eccentric dubstep ear-candy and an assortment of low-end confectionery made for wooks and experimental bass enthusiasts. Based out of Philly, SARGE is a bass music producer quickly rising up the ranks, splintering off from his house music roots in order to create heavy, aggressive dubstep. They are teaming up to release their new collab on Bassrush Records.

"Space Invaderz" is a far-out dubstep cut, playing around with newscaster samples from the New Jersey UAV sightings, pairing the mysterious drone narrative with alien spaceship-like melodic hooks that lead into a filthy intergalactic swing that uses hip-hop vox, rubbery low-end licks, squelchy synths, and a wonky flow to pull you into its orbit. WonkyWilla recently debuted on the Bassrush label with his "Wizard Womp" collab featured on Ahee's 'Wubcraft' EP. He is in the midst of phase two of his 'Get Wonked' Tour, including a stop at Electric Forest in June.
