CHANEY & KLP - Come Closer

If you've ever been addicted to coffee, you will know how much you look forward to one in the morning. I used to be heavily addicted to it but then I had to spend 3 months without it and the pain I went through in the first week with the headaches really made me swear that I would stay away from it when I next had the option.

However, I replaced it with matcha which, though it's not the same, is equally as compelling to your desires in the morning.

Which brings me to one Saturday morning in the tenderloins in San Francisco. I'd had a gig the night before and I was really wanting a matcha. But alas, the hotel didn't sell them.

Starbucks is 500 metres away, the hotel lobby dude told me.

I checked myself. If you don't know the tenderloin, it's pretty hectic...aka there's a lot of unhinged zombies there that might rob you or worse.........but I wanted matcha more than i thought i feared getting robbed.

So I set off for Starbucks....

But alas....after about 30 metres.... I had a guy and girl that looked like they hadn't slept this year....... telling me.... I could take you higher than higher than..... don't you want to fly with me..... well.. the girl was telling me.... the guy was air guitaring this amazing funk bassline..... then another zombie mate came over and started beat boxing these super tight housey drums....

I ran back to the hotel. No Matcha today.

But...... In a world that's stranger than fiction...fast forward to the other month and we got a demo from CHANEY, who we've been fans of for a long time and our absolute homie of homies KLP and well..... it literally fulfilled all the promises of the aforementioned zombies.

What a wonderful world we live in.

I'm off to get a matcha,
