Rubber People - Don't Leave Me This Way

"Australian duo Rubber People take on an all-time classic, updating it for today’s dance floors…

But first, some history…

Harold Melvin and the Blue Note’s released the original way back in 1975. Then shortly after it was covered at the height of disco, by Thelma Houston in 1976. 10 years later, the Communards version was a global hit in 1986… They all achieved varying levels of success but it’s fair to say everybody knows this song!

Rubber People lean into their house meets disco production style on this new take. They drop a cracking version with filtering melodies, thumping house drums and a smashing new vocal. They keep the energy up and the vibes flying from start to finish. It’s a party of a tune and will work perfectly for those peak time moments for anybody who plays these vibes!!!

Watch this one take the party to the next level…"

Vicious was born in 1992 and has stood strong and steady as the dance music industry has gone from a vinyl led underground movement to a global, digitally distributed and streamed phenomenon. In that time there have literally been hundreds of releases on the labels, the original imprint founded in a back yard shed out of a passion for the music…

That passion which is still vibrant if you talk to co-founders John Course and Andy Van, or any of the people that help make the label tick.

You simply don't make it through the turbulent times of the music industry without your heart being in it…

Some of the most notable artists who began their careers at Vicious include Avicii, Dirty South, Peking Duk, multiple ARIA and IDMA winning group Madison Avenue and Sgt Slick
