monovan - Herald

ATJE AUDIO presents two powerful songs by Zagreb-based musician and producer Marino Vinja, released under his monovan project.

“Herald” moves between club-driven energy and deep introspection, merging technical precision with raw emotion into a cohesive and authentic sonic statement. Expressive production, playful and dynamic bass lines, unexpected rhythmic shifts, and rich, layered textures shape an atmosphere that is both subtle and commanding.

From the streets of Zagreb to sonic avant-garde: “Electric Cyan” and “Cadmium Orange” draw inspiration from the iconic Vjesnik aesthetic, transforming retro vistas into a contemporary auditory experience. This is music that isn't just heard, but felt with the entire body, offering a journey through layers of sound and urban memory.

“This record will intrigue even the most discerning listeners.” – Andrea Ljekaj

The visual concept was developed in collaboration with Zagreb-based photographer Ernest Mazarekić, who documented the Vjesnik building during firefighting efforts. Andrea Ljekaj completed the overarching concept through the design, fusing the raw documentary intensity of the scene with the release’s refined and deliberate aesthetic, establishing a compelling dialogue between sound and image.
