Blunted Dummies - House For All (From House to Disco Remix)

From House to Disco are Brazilian house music tastemakers, and they have put together a superb retrospective compilation that offers plenty of highlights from the legendary Definitive Recordings. Known for their own blend of classic and future house sounds, they have played all across the world and released on the likes of Massa Records and Get Physical sub-label COCADA Music. As part of the new compilation, they have added their own spin to four of the tunes, which also get their own individual releases.

One of the highlights of the 'Disco House For All' compilation is House to Disco's remix of Blunted Dummies's 1993 gem 'House For All'. This heavy deep house jam, with its bulky kicks and razor-sharp hi-hats, is a testament to House to Disco's unique sound. The remix is accompanied by the original version, a more dusty, lo-fi and low-slung deep house delight with hooky vocal stabs, and the vocals are also included as a useful Acapella Tool.

Definitive Recordings was founded by John Acquaviva, Richard Hawtin, and Karl Kowalski in 1992 as an embodiment of their vision for house music. "Not too hard, not too soft" was the mantra and it built up a fine body of talented artists who made a real impact on the global underground and helped to foment a unique identity for Definitive Recordings. After acquiring the catalogue of legendary Canadian house label, Get Physical Music is proud to present a new various artists series that focuses on some of its most classic cuts. John Acquaviva will continue to A&R for the label and work closely alongside the Get Physical team in this new era.
