San Francisco-based Bear Weigle is an up-and-coming house producer drawn to deep grooves, minimal tech, breaks, and underground club sounds. He's debuting on Insomniac's Discovery Project label with his new single. "Take Ur Soul" is a house track constructed on a dark deep tech framework. A guttural, almost-robotic vocal hook hits with a devious delivery, the tantalizing lyrics match the low-slung rhythm. Eerie and eccentric textures are layered spaciously over crisp percussion, as glitchy vocal chops echo over mechanical tones, gritty supersaws, chunky basslines, and quirky textures designed to tickle the brain.

It was the winning submission for the Discovery Project DJ / producer competition hosted for Beyond Wonderland SoCal, chosen by guest judge OMNOM, which earned the winner a performance at the festival and this release on the label
