MMAATTCCHH launches its new various artists series with DDAANNCCEE 01. Following the individual artist portraits of the MMAACCRROO Series, DDAANNCCEE brings different musical perspectives together on one release.
GIANNI’s “It’s House” gets straight to the point: “House is my religion” puts a love of house music at the centre of the track, turning a personal belief into something the whole dancefloor can share. A fitting opening statement for the series.
Voies brings a cheeky energy to “Bad Man”. Its loose groove gets your head nodding and your hips moving, with a playful attitude. There’s an easy confidence to this one, and just enough cheek to make it hard to resist.
Elias Kazais takes things into wider territory on “Aterrizando”. Spacious and full of presence, it’s a track to hear loud and out in the open. A winding melody surfaces as it unfolds, bringing an unusual, almost psychedelic journey. Suspended over the groove, it pulls you further into the track.
Mangata Projekt & Nicola Boh round out the release with “You Know”, a warm, hypnotic cut with a driving groove. The sound surrounds you while the rhythm keeps moving, making it easy to lose yourself in the music. Each return of the groove draws you a little deeper.
