Anna Lunoe - 303

"It will be all good in the end, and if it's not all good, it's not the end."

While this may sound like an Instagram 'inspo' quote, it's actually the beginning of a transcription I recently recalled whilst going through the library of conversations I've had with other people and things, stored somewhere in my brain.

"Nah man, it's the end and it's not good. I've been taken off the market. Not popular enough. Not in line with the market I was intended for."

It was the year 1984 and the other end of my conversation (let's call it/him/her ROLLY) had just been marked as a failure.

He was sad indeed and I was sad for him.

While I did remind Rolly of the above inspo quote again, and backed it up with the every useful "everything happens for a good reason man, even bad things," I did feel like maybe this was one of those freak 'just bad' events (which eye don't believe in).

But fast forward a little to 1987 and Phuture came across a cheap version of my friend Rolly and down in the dumps as he was, Phuture got it going and boom.......the result was ACID TRACKS and say what, the birthing of a genre.... ACID HOUSE.

I gave Rolly a call...................

"See brother.............. told u things would get better."

He seemed pretty high and just squelched some distorted excitement back at me.

I gave him another call in 1995 when good ol' Josh Wink took my, by now, much happier friend to the top with HIGHER STATES OF CONSCIOUSNESS.

"Man...now you better be excited. You making hits and say what to the 2011 article in the Guardian calling your birth one of the 50 key events in dance music history.

Rolly just sent me a selfie of an overly compressed saw tooth.

At least my Inspo quote had lived up to its rep, I thought.

But hold tha phone.

Even the insp quote now needs an upgrade because enter 2019 and enter the very aptly named banger 303 - by ANNA LUNOE.

This is the SHIZ. With Anna on vocals, and club ready beats, it was a "dancefloor friendly fire starting" decision for her to employ our Rolly AKA 303!!!

"It will all be amazing in the end and if it's not amazing, it's because Anna Lunoe hasn't yet released 303."

Word Rolly!!!!!
