Crooked Man - Don't Leave Me This Way
Due to drop on to DSP's on September the 10th, 'Don't Leave Me This Way' is the latest big moment from dance music legend Crooked Man.
This tough interpretation of the disco classic has been percolating for a few years. A secret weapon for a handful of DJs lucky enough to have a copy. Now it's out in the open, the rave reviews are flooding in, and the track has been soundtracking special summer moments from Ibiza, Glastonbury, Love International and We Out Here Festival and DJs like Luke Unabomber, Horse Meat Disco and Fatboy Slim have all been behind it... this is huge.
Jarvis Cocker’s reaction says it all… “Northern genius in full effect”
Crooked Stile is the 3rd LP from Barratt under the Crooked Man moniker. The album encapsulates his production skills from low slung late night club music to joyous twisted house anthems. Long time collaborator Roisin Murphy features on Projection, a beautiful understated slab of late night slo-house. And a furious reimagining of his friend and occasional remix partner Jarvis Cocker classic Still Running The World - although Parrot has dispensed with the niceties and just called it CUNTS. It feels extremely appropriate for the times.
Crooked Man - 'Crooked Stile' is due for release via Vicious Charm Recordings on October the 17th.
