Kicking off the new year, Blueplate delivers its first release, the aptly titled “Nu Day” — a collaboration between Mark Picchiotti and Bath (UK)–based producer Porky Paul.
When Mark received the track, he was so taken by the sublime vocal and sexy musical foundation that he suggested a collaboration, hearing that they could take it to another level. The result is a sophisticated, sexy, soulful house track. Set on a hooky bassline and awash with trippy ear candy effect, half way through, layers of piano, Hammond B3 and orchestral strings are added — building the energy as it lifts to the euphoric ending.
