"Label head Eren Erdol follows up releases from Joeski, Heiko Laux and Birds of Mind with 'Babilonia'; a brooding single on his own label Petra that comes bolstered with a sunlit remix from Berlin based Chris El Raton.

First up is the original mix; a progressive, cinematic ecosystem that patiently stacks mood and melody layer after layer. A deep set drone and wide reverb create an expansive landscape for the polyrhythmic percussion to bump and shuffle under an Arabesque synth line that soars as the track's core hook. This is subtle but spacious club music; perfect for setting mood and tension in motion.

Chris El Raton then follows up with his 'Balearic Freaks' remix, a revision that lights a warm, amorous flame under the original utilising swooning sweeps and bright, shimmering synth tones to whip up a cosy and convivial vibe. The haunting spirit of the original remains intact while rich, minor key chord shifts work to propel it into more giddy, euphoric territory providing a nicely contrasting side to the coin."
