Galliano
Halfway Somewhere Expanded Album
Releasing digitally on March 19th via Brownswood Recordings*

*The remixes from corto.alto and Sam Interface are dropping on Wednesday. This is an exclusive early access, just for you.

Last year, almost three decades after their last release, Acid Jazz pioneers Galliano returned with the critically acclaimed album Halfway Somewhere on Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings. Now, they take things even further with the release of Halfway Somewhere Expanded—a deluxe edition featuring fresh sonic explorations, including the thrilling corto.alto remix of ‘In The Breaks’ and Sam Interface’s remix of ‘Jazz’.

Galliano, a name synonymous with the Acid Jazz movement of the late 80s and early 90s, continues to evolve while remaining true to their roots. Born from London’s underground club culture, the band first made waves as the debut signing to Talkin’ Loud in 1990. Their fusion of jazz, funk, hip-hop, house, dub, and spoken word became a defining sound that continues to resonate in today’s kaleidoscopic jazz scene.

Featuring a fully expanded tracklist, Halfway Somewhere Expanded showcases a blend of brand-new material alongside powerful reinterpretations of Galliano’s latest works.
