Shadow Child - DNA EP
Renowned UK DJ and producer Shadow Child announces his new EP DNA — a summer-ready collection from one of electronic music’s most innovative and forward-thinking artists. The EP will be released on 31st July via the iconic London Records.
The first taste of the release, ‘Falle Acid’; is an acid house anthem featuring Guinean singer, songwriter, and experimental multi-instrumentalist Falle Nioke, whose previous collaborations include Joe Goddard, Barry Can’t Swim, sir Was and Ghost Culture.
Speaking about the song, Shadow Child shares “Getting Falle Nioke in the studio was big… he went freestyle (after initially working on a different song) and we quickly realised it was these vocals that were going to be special over something 4/4 instead. The next morning I fired up the 303 and 808 and 'Falle Acid' was born. Why not just keep the working title ;)”
And further elaborating on the DNA EP, he says “The DNA EP in part draws from my connection with Manchester, bringing together acid house, rave and much more including vocals from natives, Delphic. The EP is the precursor to a wider body of work coming in the following months and provides club tracks with instrumental excursions that I’m so happy with.”
Shadow Child - 'Falle Acid (ft. Falle Nioke)' is due for release on the 8th of July to be followed by DNA EP on the 31st of July via London Records.
