Unnayanaa - Osmosis Prelude [Alternate Art Forms]

Osmosis Prelude is the debut release on Alternate Artforms, a new label founded by Indian DJ and producer Unnayanaa, known for his distinctive blend of Afro house, deep house, and Indian classical influences. The three-track EP offers a meditative, club-ready exploration of cross-cultural rhythms and soulful electronic textures — setting the stage for his forthcoming album Osmosis.

Each track is built around collaboration, drawing on over two decades of Unnayanaa’s musical journey and deep roots in global underground music. His sound is often described as spiritual, polyrhythmic, and borderless — bridging Afro-diasporic grooves, South Asian vocal traditions, and leftfield club aesthetics.

“Cryptogram from Sam” is a tribute to Sam Zaman (State of Bengal). Carnatic vocalist Ranjani delivers a haunting performance layered over broken beat percussion and atmospheric textures — a spiritual homage encoded in rhythm.

“Temple In Your Heart”, featuring Kironmoy, blends Hindustani classical vocals with warm, hypnotic percussion. The track moves like a slow prayer — part deep house, part devotional.

“Veneration”, featuring San Francisco–based vocalist Priya, is minimalist, ethereal, and emotionally grounded. It captures the intersection of introspection, ancestral memory, and deep listening.

Osmosis Prelude reflects Unnayanaa’s core philosophy: music as movement — physical, emotional, and spiritual. This is club music with a soul, and a sense of place.
