YAANO – READY? GO [NIGHTMODE]

Born and raised in Jersey, Channel Islands, but now holding it down in Bristol, YAANO is a British producer who has been taking the drum & bass genre into new, thrilling directions while dedicating himself to experimenting with varying tempos ranging from dubstep, UK garage, house and electronica. He's heading back over to NIGHTMODE to unveil his genre-blurring body of work via his new four-track 'READY? GO' EP, which includes previous singles "USED2" and "Let Go."


He enlists the help of forward-thinking Dutch sensation, Jade Sierra, a singer/songwriter turned electronic producer exploring different shades of bass-heavy dance, on "WAY2." It's a future neuro drum & bass creation, penned about struggling to escape the grips of heartbreak while the counterpart has already moved on. A stunning hyperpop style vocal is light and airy despite being weighed down by a world of pain, with stirring cinematic melodies building up into drumline breaks, heavenly choir harmonies, pitched-up vox, and reverberating sub-bass that feeds into the frenzy of frenetic synth pulses and haunting textures. Closing out he affair is the finale, which takes the form of "IN2." Majestic and epic in equal doses the track propels along a sharp percussive backbone, moving swiftly as it incorporates discordant synths, distorted lilting melody lines, and the soft touch of lush, lovely vocals.
