Delegation - Party Forever (Danny Kane Remix)

Delegation are widely recognized as one of the most successful groups of the disco and boogie era. Founded in 1976 by lead vocalist Rick Bailey, along with Len Coley and Roddy Harris, and with legendary producer/songwriter Ken Gold at the helm, they achieved global success throughout the 70s and 80s.

Their new single, "Party Forever," produced by fellow Birmingham boogie king Danny Kane for Midnight Riot, is heading straight to the dance floor, marking a bona fide return for their fans, both old and new.

Rewind to 1976: Rick Bailey, a native Jamaican who settled in Birmingham, formed Delegation and quickly caught the attention of Ken Gold, the mastermind behind hits like "You to Me Are Everything" and "Can't Get By Without You" for The Real Thing. Their second single, "Where Is the Love We Used to Know," charted significantly, marking their first hit and leading to their debut appearance on the now-infamous "Top of the Pops." Their second album, "Eau De Vie," produced gems such as "You and I," "Put a Little Love on Me," and "Darling I Think About You”.

As the "Delegation Band," with Rick Bailey still at the helm, the live show with its dynamic stage presence and soulful sound have made them a favourite at festivals and concerts, remaining an active force across Europe and the UK, making notable appearances alongside Chaka Khan and the Horse Meat Disco DJs.

Their music continues to resonate on the club scene, with UK disco don Dave Lee recently delivering huge success with their seminal "Heartache No. 9" (Special Remix Version). With so many timeless tracks often overlooked, the Delegation catalogue has been embraced by newer generations with an impressive roster of rap artists. sampling "Oh Honey" (over 120 times & counting) by the likes of Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Tupac, and The UMC’s, to name just a few.
