Skream and Partiboi69 – Pound Town (Victoria Remix) [HARD Recs]

Victoria puts her genre-bending club pedigree on full display with her remix of "Pound Town," the frisky collab between Skream and PartiBoi69, which surfaced earlier this year via HARD Recs.

Rome-based producer Victoria is a new breed of techno artist—a self-proclaimed cult-leader and sex symbol, the underground "mother" is reaching star status with a Y2K aesthetic that blends hard bounce, bailefunk, guaracha, and techno into a sweaty bundle of Latin club music. She's making her debut on the HARD Recs imprint with her remix of Skream and Partiboi69's previous collab "Pound Town."

Accentuating the salaciousness and playfulness of the original, her version builds on the suggestive vocal hooks, pitching them down with buzzsaw riffs on the original melodic motifs. She ramps up the energy with unabating rave whistle tones, pounding kicks, pitched-down vocal chops, and speedy Brazilian-inspired percussive flows. The original track has pulled in more than 2.1 million streams since March, and drew readio support from BBC Radio 1 tastemakers, Danny Howard and Sarah Story.
