Hex Cougar – FANTASY [BREAK ROOM]

Hex Cougar crashes back down onto Insomniac's BREAK ROOM Records label with his follow-up single, "FANTASY," an homage to the early sounds of future bass and melodic trap.

Los Angeles native Hex Cougar has become a bass music producer who has been hard to pin down, known for crafting complex, brain-tickling tracks littered with emotion—making him a multi-dimensional force in the hardwave, future bass and trap scenes. He's returning to Insomniac's BREAK ROOM Records to release his follow-up single.

"FANTASY" is a hardwave cut brimming with euphoria, serving as an ode to the seminal sounds of melodic trap and future bass. Revolving around an intoxicating vocal loop, the track propels the impassioned, pitched-up hook through ethereal chord progressions, fluttering arpeggiated leads, ubiquitous trap drum loops, and moody flanger melodies, all of which sequence through choppy, glitch-laden phrases of aural pleasure. The release follows on from his recent 5-track 'Embody' EP on the label.
